Does anyone live in or near Bath, Somerset? I'm really struggling with cognitive / mental problems and I'm in bed at half 8 crying and feeling pretty hopeless. I'm doing everything I can and I'm still really struggling x

Hey you,
I’m sorry I don’t live anywhere near you, but I do feel your pain!
Everything is worse when I’m tired: brainfog, speech, mood, outlook on life. I’m going to bed now to sleep it off, or I’ll continue to go downhill tonight. Thankfully, tomorrow’s another day.
I get what you’re feeling and sleep won’t fix it, but it will help.
Rest well and be sweet to yourself.
All the best,
Abi.
Thankyou Abi x
I think I need to sleep I think your right. I get scared of sleep when it's this bad because my sleep isn't the same as it used to be in so many ways but it's better than staying up feeling like this!
I just hope and keep my fingers crossed that one day il see clearly again.
Thankyou, sleep well xx
Wowserdo i wish i could help you. Lots of love💕hang on in there you will get replies.xxx
I know your pain. I've been there too. I live in Weston-super-Mare.
About 18 months ago now I was practically bed ridden and work were trying to get rid of me. Turned a corner about 6 months ago using NDT. Still have a long way to go.
If you need to talk contact me.
Simon
Hi simon just read your thread and wondered did work get rid of you? Or you still at the same place, ive had just under 2 months off and doc signed me off another month and work already being a pain in the ass.x
No, I was off work for a total of 6 months in the end. They were basically bullying me into quitting or heavily suggesting ill health retirement.
With a valid doctors note they would find it difficult to get rid of anyone. Especially with hypothyroidism you are classed as disabled under the equality act due to having a condition that will substantially effect your life for 12 months or more.
I hung in there and am now back to work full time but it was a struggle, I also went back to work far too soon.
Occupational health were very good and took my side rather than works throughout the whole thing.
Thanks simon yes im waiting for occ health to ring me. I am still hyper but been diagnosed with hashimotos which im sure you know i swing between hypo and hyper and will be starting block and replace very soon as you probably no the aim is to hit hypo. But with hashis that itself brings alot of symptons. I work in a very busy civil service office and would end up in hospital if i were to go back.i did not know you are classed as disabled thats very useful in knowing that but i will have to find out more as im officially not hypo as yet.x
Yes I also work in a busy civil service office. Definitely look into the equality act, it helped with getting a phased return to work put in place when I returned.
Try not to go back too soon. I almost had to go off sick again shortly after I returned. Implementing the phased return to work prevented me going off sick again.
I'm currently functioning at about 50% and that is slowly increasing. At least I am able to function now.
Hope you start feeling a bit better soon.
Hi
I live near Bath.
Happy to lend a sympathetic listening ear x
Ah thankyou faniah , have you had any luck with a good doc or endo? X
Hi 😊
I haven't seen an endo for many years so just reliant on a GP.
I've been hypo on 150mg for 20 years but recently gone hyper with a tsh of 0.02.
As I had been on 200mg for a few months due to fatigue dr thinks it's overmedication.
But have reduced three times now and down to 125mg with no change in my tsh.
Blood test yesterday so will get result in a few days.
But I am sooooo tired all the time and headaches and brain fog.
Would like to try Armour but just keep getting batted away with that.
How about you - hypo or hyper?
What symptoms do you have and do you feel it is controlled?
