I usually get Mercury 100mcg and 25mcg

I was recently given Teva 25mcg. Approx 30 mins after taking this I feel anxious, sick and palpitations. I notice Some other posts regarding this and thought it was worth highlighting again for anyone taking this who has experienced increased anxiety.

Have you completed a yellow card report?

No not yet. I've just realised it must be the Teva. I'm trying to find the brand that has the least fillers for myself and my daughter both suffering from Hasi

Go to Pharmacist and get Mercury Pharma brand back

Different brands are not bio equivalent

But Teva seems to cause a lot more issues than most

I'd really like to find a brand with the least amount of fillers gluten and lactose free.

in reply toEllemac

They're all gluten-free but only Teva is lactose free, unless you get liquid Levo prescribed (which costs much more).

Click on the purple banner at the top "UK Synthetic Levothyroxine (T4) Tablets" and it gives the brands and their ingredients. It looks likeTeva might be the only Lactose free one

There are a couple of liquid Levothyroxine just below, but of course they come with their own additives too.

And there are some 'Special Order' Lactose free European Levo tablets further down but they contain maize, not sure if that is a problem.

It's so difficult my daughter can't have Gluten Lactose or maize. Hard to know what to do.

Ellemac,

All Levothyroxine in the UK is gluten-free. Teva is the only lactose-free make available in the UK. Wockhardt has fewer fillers than Mercury Pharma, Actavis and Teva but Wockhardt is only available in 25mcg.

Thank you Clutter.

My daughter can't have gluten lactose or maize. I can't find any that are free from all these.

Ellemac,

As I said, no UK Levothyroxine has gluten and Teva is the only brand which is lactose-free in the UK. If maize is a problem your daughter should ask for liquid Levothyroxine to be prescribed.

I too have been supplied with Teva for the first time, recently.

It would be interesting to know if there's been an increase in holidays taken in Croatia by the usual suspects :-D
