You will need to ring the doctor for a new prescription. Also report Side effects to MHRA via the yellow card scheme to protect others. Many people have had problems with TEVA, just search this forum. I was extremely Ill on the old formula and it seems new formula has similar problems.

Hi leather27, I had terrible palpatations when taking the Teva brand of levo, have had the chemist put on my file not to despense this to me and I always check before leaving chemist that the medication is correct as once you've left the chemist they won't usually change them for you.ive seen lots of people on here have had problems with this brand but it's the only one that is lactose free.

Hi, got this brand two weeks ago, I heard negative feedback about it but I thought I would try. OMG after not full week I went back to GP and asked them to replace it with other brand and asked the pharmacist to add the note to avoid this brand! They are horrible, I was feeling like undermedicated, depressed, tired..

Do you feel sick on it too, I never thought about brand but saw people talking about it on here

Yeah..I never thought about brand too and then I got them myself and I was feeling terrible. I’ve been on Levo for about 1.5y now and I remember I had them once a year ago or so and I was feeling terrible not knowing it’s because of the brand I was given

That's interesting thanks for posting... I've just had my dose increased and now I'm wondering if that is the problem!

I had really bad palpitations yesterday when I took 75 mg (I have been increased to 75/ 100 alternating daily. The 75 is teva and 100 is actavis I think)

Really bad palps with anxiety, internal vibrations and a bit shaky hands. Today I took the 100 and don't feel as bad. I have taken Teva before and never had a problem. I can't take Mercury pharma as I worked out that was having adverse effects on me.

It might be worthwhile typing 'Problems with Teva' or something similar in the search box above. There have been quite a lot of specific info posted about symptoms related to Teva meds.

It's funny teva never used to have this effect but as the poster said, it may be to do with a change of formula x

Hi they gave me bad headaches (and it is rare for me to get them). I have yellow-carded them. Hope you get this sorted.

Hi leather. Sorry to hear you are having problems with TEVA but not surprised.

I have posted my experiences previously not only with TEVA levo but also with TEVA in general-as have many others.

At this point I believe they are a substandard pharmaceutical company-just my opinion. But I refuse to accept any prescription made by them.

I am on record with my pharmacist not to use TEVA for me and, earlier this year my pharmacist told me they are not using this company. He is the Head Pharmacist who does the ordering and I have used him for years.

Just to be on the safe side I always check my prescriptions before stepping away from the pharmacy counter. Here (US) once you walk away the Rx cannot be returned so best to catch errors early. I also check to be sure someone hasn't filled it with TEVA.

I have never had problems with generic drug companies other than TEVA. My personal feeling is that most of the problems are with fillers they use but I have no solid evidence.

I would suggest if you can't pick up meds in person call and be sure they are not using TEVA. I do this when someone else is picking an Rx up for me.

Enough said. Take care and think about joining the "No Teva Club".

By the way, aside from feeling generally bad most of my symptoms were gastrointestinal related-real abdominal pain in the morning after taking my thyroid meds. These sx could not be traced to anything other than my thyroid levothyroxine.

Take care. irina1975

Teva gave me IBS symptoms. I don’t have IBS! Wockhardt made me itch all over so I have reported both. Interestingly I got bitten by horseflies earlier in the year and took antihistamines for the itching. The antihistamines made it worse! When I checked manufacturer it was Wockhardt!
