Anyone know if this indicates that I'm over or under medicated?

Hannah9,

There's not enough information to advise whether you are over or undermedicated or have pulled a muscle or bruised your leg.

If you post recent thyroid results and ranges I can tell you whether you are under/overmedicated.

Sorry but I only have text results from before I started t3. Those were on 100mcg levo

Tsh 0.05 (0.35-5.5)

Ft4 19 (12-22)

Ft3 4.7 (3.1-6.8)

After this test I added 18.75t3 in 6.25 increments every other week. Will have new blood test in 4 weeks.

It feels like ischias and when I do those stretches it helps for a while.

Hannah9,

If you added 18.75mcg T3 to 100mcg Levothyroxine you may be overmedicated but that is more likely to cause muscle weakness not pain.

Sciatica (ischias) is usually self-resolving but can take several weeks. I found ibuprofen dulled the pain and enabled movement and stretching but discomfort was bad at night and sleeping was difficult. I hope you get relief soon.

Thank you! It is indeed hard to sleep when the legs are aching.

Hannah9,

Epsom Salt baths can relax aching muscles, as can magnesium oil spray and magnesium citrate supplement taken at bed time.

If it's just one leg keep a watch in case it's a DVT.

Are you supplementing with important nutrients ? Vitamin "D" B-12/folate Iron if you test low (ferritin) and Selenium . These nutrients help with our thyroid meds to work well for us . The next time you run labs have them include your levels for the vitamins mentioned above .

Feel well soon .
