What has happened to the email notifications and newsfeed?

It seems that we no longer get a full list of questions for the last 24 hours but instead get an daily email that is restricted to just 9 questions, with the recommendation to see more in the newsfeed... So you go to the newsfeed and find that, instead of the questions (posts) being listed in chronological order, the answers are! That means that the oldest post I have seen a recent answer to is 4 YEARS OLD! Just because somebody posted an answer 11 minutes ago!

What is going on??? There is no option to look at the most recent posts in the newsfeed, just the most recent responses...

Please put it back to how it used to be! Most recent posts (NOT RESPONSES!) and going back in chronological order...

I wrote a post on how to sort the posts and replies on the forum - it can be done :

The above post was written from the perspective of someone who uses a browser on a standard PC, not a phone or similar gadget.

I don't use email for getting notifications, so I can't help with that, sorry.

Zephyrbear,

That is a 'feature' to welcome new members to the site. After a day or two they should get the normal email notifications and Newsfeed. Please email support@Healthunlocked.com to tell them what is happening and how much you dislike it.

Clutter, Zephybear isn't new. She joined in 2010!

HB,

I know. Must be a glitch that she's receiving the info new members get.

I never look at News Feed. I'm not interested.

humanbean has given you the necessary information of re email alerts. I just erase all email alerts as I've usually answered some on the forum So I just erase them without reading.

When new members join and are looking at past postshey may not realise they are a few years old, so respond to ask a question and the person who has already made a statement is alerted. You don't need to answer if you don't want to. :)

Sometimes when we answer to an 'old' question we don't realise at first that it has been posted some years before.
