Hypothyroid

Hi thanks for letting me join

I have had hypothyroid since 2012 and I have had low heart rate amongst other symptoms

I had an operation last year and was told on waking my heart rate was 38 beats per minute

I am 28 years old

A week before the operation I had bloods for thyroid done since the ones before showed I was subclinically hypothyroid and I had my dose raised

Ones after I was subclinical were TSH 4.01 (0.2 - 4.2) Free T4 13.3 (12 - 22) Free T3 3.5 (3.1 - 6.8)

Current results on 150mcg levothyroxine and 10mcg T3 are TSH 1.69 (0.2 - 4.2 Free T4 15.1 (12 - 22) Free T3 4.5 (3.1 - 6.8)

You are still undermedicated, your fT4 should be around 18 or 20. Make sure you take you tablets away from coffee as this can have a big effect on levothyroxine absorption. Assuming you have some symptoms I would ask your doctor for an increase.

Yes I have symptoms but been told they are not thyroid

Joint pain, constipation, heavy periods, difficult swallowing, cold intolerance, hair loss, pins and needles, dry skin, weight loss. Thanks
