Can anyone shed light on these stomach issues π€¦π½ββοΈ
I'm bloated, lack of digestion even though I've take enzymes, probiotic and kefir, my body won't digest my food and I eat well. I can feel the food sitting in my stomach hours after I've eaten, basically rotting cause then I get windy and burpy π«π¬
I'm on thyroxine 75mg should this improve when taking the medication?
Question could it be because my body temperature is low, because I'm always cold, and when I'm on my menstruation I use a hot water bottle, I find my stomach doesn't feel as bad and if I haven't been toilet it also can help
Thanks guys

I found a gluten free diet and daily spoonfuls of organic sauerkraut (the best probiotic I'd tried) has alleviated all long standing and painful digestive issues, including gastritis, heliocobacter pylori, IBS, acid reflux, etc.
I've tried kefir but it didn't work as well as sauerkraut for me - the non pasteurised sauerkraut is even better but more expensive - many people make their own. Do hope it works for you too Stormx.
Low vitamins that affect thyroid are vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12. Important to test these. If they are too low they stop Thyroid hormones working. Have these been tested, if not ask that they are. Always get actual results and ranges.
You had very low ferritin 2 months ago. Are you eating liver once week or supplementing to improve this.
What about the levels of the others?
Is your TSH around one or lower? If not you probably need a dose increase
75mcg levo is an average dose and you may not yet be on a optimum dose.
You need to get a new blood test and it always has to be at the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take afterwards. This helps keep the TSH at its highest as that's all doctors look at, it appears to me.
Ask for TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies. B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.
The Free T4 and Free T4 may not be done by lab if TSH is 'in range'. We need the TSH to be 1 or lower.
