Hi πŸ‘‹πŸ½ all

Can anyone shed light on these stomach issues πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

I'm bloated, lack of digestion even though I've take enzymes, probiotic and kefir, my body won't digest my food and I eat well. I can feel the food sitting in my stomach hours after I've eaten, basically rotting cause then I get windy and burpy 😫😬

I'm on thyroxine 75mg should this improve when taking the medication?

Question could it be because my body temperature is low, because I'm always cold, and when I'm on my menstruation I use a hot water bottle, I find my stomach doesn't feel as bad and if I haven't been toilet it also can help

Thanks guys

I found a gluten free diet and daily spoonfuls of organic sauerkraut (the best probiotic I'd tried) has alleviated all long standing and painful digestive issues, including gastritis, heliocobacter pylori, IBS, acid reflux, etc.

Have you tried kefir milk, I've been meaning to buy sauerkraut, so will do

I've tried kefir but it didn't work as well as sauerkraut for me - the non pasteurised sauerkraut is even better but more expensive - many people make their own. Do hope it works for you too Stormx.

Gluten intolerance, especially if you have Hashimoto's

Low stomach acid can often be an issue

Lots of posts on here about how to improve with Apple cider vinegar or Betaine HCL

Low vitamins that affect thyroid are vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12. Important to test these. If they are too low they stop Thyroid hormones working. Have these been tested, if not ask that they are. Always get actual results and ranges.

You had very low ferritin 2 months ago. Are you eating liver once week or supplementing to improve this.

What about the levels of the others?

Is your TSH around one or lower? If not you probably need a dose increase

75mcg levo is an average dose and you may not yet be on a optimum dose.

You need to get a new blood test and it always has to be at the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose and test and take afterwards. This helps keep the TSH at its highest as that's all doctors look at, it appears to me.

Ask for TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies. B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.

The Free T4 and Free T4 may not be done by lab if TSH is 'in range'. We need the TSH to be 1 or lower.

The following are clinical symptoms.

Hello there i am hyper but have always suffered on and off with that particular feeling but ive put mine diwn to a diagnosed hiatul hernia and also reflux uts not nice but i do think it has alot to do with gluten aswell, i have been diagnosed with celiac by 2 blood tests but yet to receive endoscopy for stomach biopsy but thinking i should just start gluten free anyway as i know im celiac. Also got to get antibodies done for hashis as apparentley celiac and hashis come handv n hand.xx

Do you know if you have high antibodies- essential to find out.

Have you tried strictly gluten free

75mcg is not a high dose. You may be ready for an increase. You need to know FT4 and FT3 as well as TSH

Only 2 months ago you posted that you were not on any thyroid hormones. It can take months for body to recover from shock of stopping and starting.
