Not posted for a while. Had ovary and Fallopian tube removed on the 29th Sept.
I thought you were supposed to be in a lot of pain. Didn't need any pain medication after, had keyhole surgery.
Wondering if that was why I was feeling so crook, blaming it on thyroid. Now feeling alright apart from HBP, still can't get suitable medication that agrees with me but can now drink milk again.

I had both ovaries and tubes removed 18 months ago and was in much less pain afterwards than I was in for the 3 years before. My scar was bigger than my caesarean scar and took about 4 weeks to heal, needing antibiotics. GP said you would feel bad from all the hormones it produced. Also had epidural, so perhaps that was why not much pain afterwards. Hope you continue to do well.
Didn't think at my age would be producing hormones, but still feel a lot better, had to have a heat bag at the back of me all the time for the constant backaches before the op.
I had an ovary and fallopian tube removed many years ago; I had a big scar as there was a huge cyst on the ovary and it had to be removed in one piece. I was not a therapist at the time and had no idea that an abdominal scar could cause my skeleton to distort causing a great deal of pain. I was not told at the time that I should be massaging my scar and wiggling it around to stop the build up of scar tissue. It has taken several years to get the scar flexible and the internal adhesions freed so that I can stand straight. If you can do so, see a Scar Worker. You can only see the surface and a lot goes on below that needs treatment.
Had my op,9cm cyst wrapped round Fallopian tube. Op went really well. Doc said I could go home that night, I said, No my husband is 84 and not driving 30 mins. drive in the dark. They gave me script. For oxycodone didn't need it .
