There's a different conversion for each nutrient when converting mcg to IU and I've not seen a conversion for B12. However, B12 is measured in mcg anyway, not IU. It's D3 we mainly see on here IU. Curious as to why you're asking?
Ah, I always thought mine was 5000 iu? A patient has been prescribed 50mg 4 x daily! Obviously their GP is not very clued up...
think you mean 50mcg a day - this is standard for treating a deficiency caused by lack of B12 in diet.
never seen iu used for B12.
if your friend is having problems getting the correct treatment for B12 deficiency then suggest you look at the PAS forum
