Weals

For the last week or so I have been suffering from itchy, raised weals all over my body, mainly my legs, knees, elbows, side of tummy and top of feet.

My washing powder hasn't changed.

I have only taken 2 antihistamines during this time as someone said they are bad but they don't die down otherwise.

I'm now even more frustrated that I'm going on holiday with thrush and this skin problem if It doesn't clear up by the 20th.

Any ideas lovely people? X

I see you have Hashis and lots of food intolerances. You need to check the labels on any processed foods that you eat in case the ingredients have changed. Food manufacturers never bother to tell you they have changed the recipe! Also are you on any thyroid meds. Have you been given a different brand, Teva by any chance?!

I have been naughty with eating more gluten the last few months but hasn't had this happen before. Just looked at my new tablets and it is Teva! I know I haven't had this before as it's bright green. My last one was wockhardt. So shall I ring pharmacy tomorrow and ask them to change it for me? If they will that is?! Wow- who knew!!

Definitely get back to pharmacy and complete a yellow card. You may have to ask GP to do another prescription. Make sure they note on your file that you cannot tolerate TEVA.

Brilliant thankyou! My Drs and CCG are probably fed up of me going back and forth and with t3 issue!! Can't wait to go on holiday and forget about it all for a week! Thankyou so much again :)

not a good idea to cheat re Gluten!! especially with Hashi's. You no doubt have a leaky gut with all your food intolerances. Nutritionists recommend bone broth (organic) to help heal leaky gut.

I know, it's just so expensive. I prefer gluten free pasta it's just the bread that's foul! Will try and be stricter soon, promise!

If you can locate GF oats, this is an excellent GF bread recipe that everyone enjoys: davidlebovitz.com/josey-bak...

My whole family had that for a week last month. We hadn't changed washing powder or anything. Eventually we put it down to seasonal environmental allergens of some sort (pollen/ mould spore/ random who-knows-what) and it passed within a fortnight.

My husband and youngest had it worst. It was awful. I feel your pain!

It's horrible isn't it? Non stop itching. I'm seeing nurse practitioner this pm to get new brand of levo so I'm hoping it will subside, but if not then it is just what you said and I'll have to ride it out!! X
