Did you manage to have the tests suggested to you in your post/thread of two months ago ? Also you were going to obtain results of earlier tests
Its difficult to help/advise without more information.
Sounds as if you have low Iron .....
I am 50 and interactive thyroid. I take vit c with my thyroxine in the morning on an empty tummy then a few hours later i take sublingual vit b12, vit d and folic acid.
I had the same symptoms as you describe. I had no help from a number of doctors I went to for help. So I researched on here and online. I have never felt better. My gp later realised my b12 was very low when I questioned again. Doctors don't want to know I've found. We have to help ourselves.
My legs don't feel lime lead weights and I don't get out of breath on moving. My symptoms were awful but now all gone. Within a week or so of starting my vitamins. Thyroid levels were fine all the time. It was lack of vitamins.
Ask GP for thyroid tests as you are feeling so ill and to also test thyroid antibodies, vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after
Sounds like you're not converting your thyroid meds to T3 adequately and I expect you are still making a lot of thyroid antibodies which means that even on thyroxine you're not going to see much improvement.
Blackcat is right - you can't rely on GPs to provide the full solution - that has to come from you.
In addition to the vitamins Blackcat mentions (iron as well) I would highly recommend selenium methionine. It'll help reduce the antibody attacks on your thyroid (although going gluten free is also good) and should also help you make more T3.
Just realised that owing to Fibro, you may have iodine deficiency too, so you may need to go easy on selenium at first (just eat some Brazil nuts) as selenium and iodine need to be in balance.
I really think you'd benefit from looking at this website.(Just to add; the author of this website also has lots of information for low thyroid treatment too.)
and this one.. I researched malic acid with magnesium and these have waved goodbye to lower back pain, unless I do something daft like digging on a cold day!
There's a lot of crossover between Fibro and Hashi's; don't expect your average GP to know much about nutrient deficiencies in Hashi's, or ANYTHING about mitochondrial failure in Fibro and how to treat it!
