So i was diagnosed in March with hypothyroidism i was sent for ultrasound as my thyroid was enlarged my dr told me i have diffused thyroid disease (not sure what that is?) They found several nodules the biggest being 1 cm so she said if was bigger she'd refer me to a endo dr. I go back in Oct for another ultrasound to make sure not bigger. Any how i was looking online last night at my blood work and i see this so i looked it up. It appears that i may have hashimoto. I was never told this im not sure how dangerous this is. I think it's mild but im very upset my dr never told me.... can anyone give me any advice? TiA

Hello! Can someone help me with reading this blood work
The majority of hypos have Hashimotos - so it's not unusual you have high antibodies. It might help to do some reading on it to understand what it means:
I think you should erase your name if you can.
It is not dangerous to have antibodies. If we do have antibodies we have an Autoimmune Thyroid Disease, called hashimoto's. It is the commonest form of hypothyroidism and the antibodies attack the thyroid gland (they wax and wane) until you become hypothyroid.
Going gluten-free can help reduce the antibodies.
Blood tests always have to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between the last dose and the blood test and take afterwards. This give us the best result, The aim is a TSH of 1 or lower.
If doctor hasn't tested B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate ask for these at the same time as your next test. We are usually deficient which can also cause symptoms.
Im not sure how to delete my name though
They don't tell us, because they think it irrelevant.
Read as much as possible about Hashimoto's
Thyroid Uk website is good place to start, home if this support group
The Thyroid Pharmacist website has masses of info about Hashimoto's
Chris Kresser and Amy Myers are good too
