If you are on thyroid hormone replacements and don't have 'energy' your dose should be reassessed. You should get a new blood test. - the earliest possible, fasting and allow a gap of 24 hours between your last dose and the test and take afterwards. In particular Free T4 and Free T3 should be tested. Your GP will usually not do these but you can get a private test from one of our recommended labs. I shall give you a link and you can read about FT4 and FT3.

T3 is the only Active thyroid hormone and is required in all of our receptor cells.

The Doctor is already saying I am having too much T4 but has agreed to leave me on same dose as I told him I have tried reducing it before at his request and felt worse.

Sylvia22,

If you are intending to use Diatomaceous Earth make sure the stuff you buy is food grade quality.

I used to mix DE into my chickens' food and sprinkle it into their coop and bedding as it supposedly helped keep them clean of mites and parasites.

Yes it is food grade.

It's good if you have fleas (it dehydrates and kills them) - apart from that it is mostly used for cleaning swimming pools ... I don't think it does kill internal parasites.

I use it to make a carpet powder with bicarb and essential oils to kill any residual fleas. My friend uses it for her chicken to dust bathe in to kill mites. Would you swallow it?

Well, I've heard of people swallowing it (it's basically ground-up shells), but I don't thik there is any hard evidence that it kills internal parasites in humans - it seems to in birds as their digestion works differently - ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/216.... No way can it increase energy (except by killing your energy-zapping fleas ...). If yo uthink you have worms, either get a worm dose from the doctor or check out Humaworm or Drclark.com for a herbal remedy. To work it has to be kept dry.
