Hi,
My daughter after many years of not being well had a private blood carried out and showed that she had a problem with her reverse T3. cut along story short, her dr is trying her on T3 (private) to see if this will help her.
She started on 20mg - we cut in half, 10 first thing in the morning and 10 around 2pm) she has dropped her thyroxine to 75mg from 175 mg which she takes at night.
She started taking the t3 and new thyroxine dose Monday and has never felt so good ie aches and pains disappeared, her fatigue gone, brainfog gone, she felt amazing and said that this is what 'normal people' must feel like! She was a different person and we were all really excited for her as this could be a real life changer.
However, I have just received a call from her as she is working to say she is not feeling good, exactly how she felt before and really fatigued.
Is this to be expected in the early stages? Should she carry on with this dose? She has been on thyroxine since 8 years old - 17 years and has Hashi and pernicious Anaemia. Your advice will be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
