Lola1956,

Who knows? Those who are currently in charge can't live forever. We must hope the younger cohort coming through will challenge their views.

Glad to see it's getting some coverage in the press but would have been good if it had mentioned leaving more than an hour between T4 and certain supplements such as iron. Those unlucky enough not to be aware of this site still won't have the right information.

Yes, very much hope the younger generation within the medical profession learn more about the true situation for many sufferers. A GP friend of mine (female, mid forties) admitted the other day that they are very ill informed when it comes to thyroid and Hashimoto's in particular. I felt heartened that she recognised that but equally saddened at the same time.

This is just the sort of article I can show my son's Carers. I wish I had the courage to take it to GP.

J-bee,

If you think it will be helpful in your treatment or the treatment of your son show it to GP too.

Unfortunately Clutter This is the third time I have had to question what this GP want to change or give my son and I think now he would not take kindly to this information. For myself, I shall not be seeing this GP unless it isa dire emergency. Even the Carer asked this morning if we have to see this GP. I told her not if there is another one available. I am about to take out Court of Protection for Health and Welfare for Deputyship for my son just because of this GP. Also it is something that should be done if you have a family member in Care who do not have mental capacity to cope with their own health.
