My journey: No Levo - No problems

I have previously posted about several issues I encountered during my treatment on T4 only. I am posting this in case someone has similar issues.

Levo was good for me for about 6 months and then things started to go downhill. Thanks to this amazing community and reading about the experiences of other members on here I decided to try self medicating with T3. And though it made a difference, there were still some issues. So after some research I realised that most probably it's levo that I have a problem with. I decided to reduce and eventually quit levo and stay on T3.

It's only been a week off of levo but oh my... Sweats are gone, gagging is gone, heart pains are gone. Brain fog has decreased and I seem to have more energy. I went for a hike yesterday and didn't feel hung-over today like it used to happen after physical activities.

I wonder how come T4 made me feel so rubbish. I feel for those who can't seem to get better on it. Soon I'll have to tell my GP about the change and it's going to be interesting to see how she reacts.

Probably the dose of levo you were taking didn't convert properly to T3. Our bodies need sufficient T3 for our body to operate as it should do. Taking T3 also doesn't need to be converted and the dose you take today will last between one to three days if taken in one dose.

If T3 works for you it is amazing that we can feel so good if levo has made life a misery.
