weigh in and water retention

very swollen feet and ankles lately on 40mg furosemide and in the hot weather it really dont help

stood on them scales last night with my balloon feet and looked and i have gained 5 1/2 lb

i looked at my son and told him, he said its water dont worry you will lose that

the pain when my feet swell is awful and they feel bruised and battered

allthough its cooler today ive still taken the 40mg furosemide and will try and increase the water

Hi. I have been put on the same dose of Furosemide. It has reduced my swelling but not stopped it. My feet do seem to swell more in hot weather too and get worse towards evening. My oedema is the pitting kind so may have a different cause. I thought I might lose a good bit of weight when I started the tablets but only lost 3/4 lb. It was a loss at least. I'm not on any Thyroid meds yet though, still being investigated.
