Thank you for all your replies to my last post asking what I should say to the doctor. I didn't mention last time but I have a massive fear of the doctors surgery - I feel a wave of panic if it's just mentioned in normal conversation! That's why I haven't been to collect my last blood test results. I've tried to register on line but have been unable to so far. However, I phoned the doctor this morning and spoke to her. I asked to be sent to a specialist but she wouldn't do that without another blood test. She has therefore ordered a new blood test for me tomorrow and now wants me to go to see the practice nurse because she thinks from my last blood test that I am diabetic. Am I right in thinking that this is yet another symptom or am I totally wrong in this?

They do say when you have an auto immune disease that otherscan follow so best to get it checked out.
I was diagnosed diabetic a year after being told I was not which was the good news the bad being the hypothyroid diagnosis.Three months after the Type 2 diagnosis I was no longer diabetic according to blood test having cut carbs down.
There does seem to be an association between the two but cannot say that one causes the other.
I found this research from April this year. There are others but this is the most recent. diabetesincontrol.com/hypot...
There is a link because I'm always terrified that I'm going to get that next! But I thought this was the worst type of the two - Type 1 Diabetes, the autoimmune disease one.
When one endocrine gland begins to fail then other glands will suffer. The pancreas is a gland - so think of an electrical circuit - when one bit fuses the whole lot goes down 😊
