I am a Female 37 had right side of Thyroid removed from surgery

as Cancer ,it has not spread to other parts of the body from my CT Scan result of Neck.

The consultant said i can have treatment now with radioactive Iodine or can wait and see consultant every 2 months to see where things are and a scan once a year going forward.I have my result which i have scanned for anyone to see .If anyone has any idea what it all means i would be most gratefull for info as i have found it quite hard to work out.

I had TT two years ago for similar follicular cancer - never saw one of those reports though so can't help with that! But I was also offered the choice between RAI. and monitoring and opted for the monitoring. All has been fine since and now no need to go Back for nine months. The decider for me was that if I had the RAI I couldn't be near pregnant mums or babies for a few weeks, and that would have been difficult for me. I was able to talk it through with a specialist who said most people just go with their instinct, and that currently they see similar outcomes either way for such low risk cancers. Hope you are able to decide.
