Can anyone tell me what the best time of day is to get a blood draw for a RT3test? I saw the endocrinologist at the hospital a couple of months ago,and he told me off for taking NDT. He put me on 75May of Levothyroxine, and unfortunately I am struggling with severe fatigue and have gained a stone in weight. I have had a text on my FT3 (private ofcourse) and it has dropped to the lowest possible number in the "normal" range. I have now sent for a RT3 test, in order to find out if the Levothyroxine is not being converted from T3 but RT3 instead. I had tried to find out if RT3 has a circadian rhythm and therefore there is a time of day which is best to get the blood draw. I am looking to get evidence to show the endocrinologist (the nhs would not find these tests) in the hope of getting him to agree to either prescribing NDT or T3. I am really upset about the weight gain and I can't cope with feeling so tired all the time, even though he am sleeping for at least 10 hours a night and napping in the afternoon/evening!
Any advice welcome.

I've asked that question before. They told me. Not to take medication 24 hours before the blood test. And as early as possible. And just drink water before the blood test.
Good luck I don't know anything else about what else your ask. Only what I've pick up on this website by reading.
Baggiebod I've had rT3 tested twice and both times at the mercy of what time the home phlebotomy nurse could get to me. I'm not aware that rT3 is time sensitive. Mine were done at 11.45am first time, 11am second time, which will give me a good comparison when the second test comes back, and I'm happy enough with that.
