Has anyone had a problem with cramp I keep getting it in my toes but last night it was in my lower leg and boy did it hurt to a point where it hurts now to walk? I'm assuming it will get better the more I walk but it was so painful just wondered what could be causing it? xx

Low magnesium is a possibility. Why not try taking some?

I agree.....magnesium can definately help....you can buy a magnesium spray too and spray it right on where the muscles are cramping to stop it...also Epsom salt baths help.

Yes I used to get it badly in my calves at night but if I take magnesium I don't get it. I take Magnesium Malate (Magnesium Citrate gives me the runs!), 1 tablet with my evening meal (425 mg) but you can take a larger dose if need be. Not all forms of Magnesium are readily absorbed so be careful which one you buy - Citrate, Malate, Taurate, Glycinate are all easily absorbed, don't get the oxide form as it isn't. Hope that helps! :)

True, but I suffered cramp in many muscles until I was on the right medication so you can agree with your GP's statement of the obvious yet still be right about this! (I was very hypo when experiencing it though so maybe in your case it is unrelated)
