Yep, it's rubbish. My feet are swollen even when it isn't hot and shoe buying is a nightmare.

Me too. I've been having trouble with feet and lower legs swelling so much over the last few years. Went from a size 6 shoe to having to buy 7.5 just to be able to tie them. I saw an acupuncturist - to see if he could help with Thyroid initially, but also mentioned swelling - within two sessions swelling gone. Seemed to last some time too. But last 12 months meds gone squiffy again and still trying to get the balance back. Feet and legs swelling again. struggling to get into size 7's again...6's out. Got to love Crocs!!! The heat does not help!! I've really struggled these last few days. And to thinkI have spent most of my life cold???? Intend to go back to acupuncturist very soon.

UrsaP very interesting re acupuncturist and amazing that it only took two sessions. A few years ago I regularly had lymphatic drainage massage carried out all over my body. The therapist mainly treated cancer patients. It certainly helped but was too expensive to continue.

I'm ashamed of myself for wearing Crocs, don't wear them in public though!!

Hidden I don't wear the in public either...but often so glad of them...And one of my dogs is partial to them too...keeps nicking them and leaving them in odd places - under beds, in the garden....!!! Maybe she's embarrassed about them too...ha ha!

UrsaP gotta love dogs, they're always happy!

Yep, I'm loving the throbbing cankles... said no one ever. I started on NDT a couple of months and had a real improvement with loosening skin on my forearms. Now with this heat they are solid as a rock again.

Are you taking thyroid medication? If you are I have been recommended by two endroconologists that during the hot months of summer to lower my dosage. Also find a good strong coffee, fresh not instant is an excellent diuretic! And of course keep drinking loads of water. The thyroid is on the same meridian as the kidneys. Elevating your feet when ever possible should help.
