Well I certainly felt unwell yesterday with the heat and will take my BLood pressure today..

last year I sat in shade on a very hot day chatting for a couple of hours without any water..and I think I got heat stroke..I was so unwell that it out me off being outside when it’s so,hot...

yesterday my head felt heavy..I took a drink of diarolyte , which certainly helped even though I drink a lot of water during the day for various health reasons..I am 82 and have low hypothyroidism..usually it’s the Coldthat affects me..however I am now wondering if I need to be extra vigilant with extreme heat now.

Will take my PB when it gets hotter later.thanks for your post..look forward to any comments 😊

Hather ,

Do you have your last thyroid labs results ? If you can please post the results with reference range included . It could be very telling . It might be that your FT4 could be on he higher side causing your sweating and making heat a bit intolerable .

Hi. My last fasting blood test October last year TSH 1.78 (0.35-5.5)

T4 15.9 (9.0-22.7). On 50 msg Levothyroxine dr.said normal range not too keen to increase said as I am 82 was possible concerned or heart reaction, tho I am waiting repair surgery and have had ECG three times I. The last 7 months cos of bed unavailable so just have passed them. My blood pressure varies about 100 63 79 to 139 75 85. But I’ve not been out in the heat today, but I will take next time I am out in the heat,,you may have a point to think about...I feel quite well really, can easily to town and up hill home and also stairs no problem..however I do crash out for short dept sleeps when I sit down pm and I have had what what I thought was carpel tunnel stress I. Wrists and elbows and my hands are always cold and seriously constipated needing the toilet up to 8or move times a day as vowel,is never cleared..awaiting bowel PRolapse repair .. otherwise I seem ok and sleep a good six hours most nights

Are you on nutrients ? Like Vitamin"D" B-12/folate , Magnesium , Selenium , Iron if you test low (ferritin ) ? Nutrients help our thyroid meds work well for us . Look into Gluten free diet . I found that being gluten and dairy free made a big difference for me too . It energizes me I'm clearer thinking and sleep so much better .

You seem to have hypo symptoms . Cold hands are cold and your constipated those are hypo symptoms . I'm thinking for some reason nutrients could be Very Valuable . Please read Excellent Posts on Vitamins by *SeasideSusie* you will learn chuck full of Great and Valuable information .

*SlowDragon* has Great Information on Gluten Free .

Best Wishes for fast resolutions .
