Dose increases and reductions are usually in 25mcg increments.
Why would you want to split the dose into am and pm doses? There's no advantage in it and it simply makes it more of a nuisance keeping Levothyroxine away from food and drink.
If your GP has prescribed alternating Levothyroxine doses it is fine.
Trust me I don't want to, it's because I do have panick disorder, and this choking sensation did freak me out, I hyperventilated and would like to avoid that again for a little while
What causes this choking sensation do you know pls? I gather it isn't totally the levo but it felt real enough
Also please, any thoughts on taking n d t for a while to get t3 in and start to feel better sooner
I do wonder if the panick thing will subside when getting t3 into cells?
If you have trouble swallowing tablets crush the Levothyroxine to a powder and mix it with a little water and swallow it.
If you take the Levothyroxine dose you are prescribed it will raise your FT4 and the T4 will convert to T3.
I've no idea whether NDT will be any better than Levothyroxine. If you have some you can try it. 1 grain NDT (60-65mg) is equivalent to 65mcg Levothyroxine.
