Why do I ache so much?

I'm on Levo and all my vit levels are good although my ferritin was very slightly over normal range the aches are particularly bad in my neck shoulders and arms does anyone else experience this? Or is it likely to be unrelated to my Hashimotos?

How long's it been since you had that raise in levo? Has it been 6 weeks yet? Have you had blood tests done recently? I'd guess that you may need another raise in dose.

I've been on 125 since May 5th I'm planning another medicheck next week, on 100 levo my TSH was 3.9 so I hoped the 25 increase would sort me out I felt some improvement but feels like I'm going downhill a bit again fatigue and serious muscle aches and fatigue?

Pain can be common on levothyroxine, particularly if your dose is too low, or you don't convert levo into sufficient T3. T4 (levothyroxine) is inactive and it had to convert to T3 which is the only active hormone required in our receptor cells. I experienced widespread joint/muscle pain on levo. Some people get diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

See what those results are then. If your FT3 and FT4 aren't well up their ranges, an increase in levo would be a good idea.

If those levels seem fine, then we'll have another think. :) Do you have Hashimoto's do you know?

Ah, can see that you do and that you're addressing diet.

My money's on you needing an increase in thyroid medication then...

Are you gluten free? Gluten sensitivity can cause aches and pains.

Thanks wishwell, I'm wondering how long I stick with Levo before I start looking at NDT I guess if all my ranges are good on my next blood test I will need to start thinking about switching? Although how are people getting NDT?

How long have you been on Levo ? I was 16 years and would never go back. If you ever decide to go NDT route there are some rare docs who will prescribe ... Failing that I'm sure if you get to that decision someone will PM you.
