I was just wondering that if you are having a blood test to test for coeliac disease will you 100% not get a positive result if you haven't consumed gluten fully for over a month or is there still a chance that anti bodies can be found if I've had some, I have my prom in a month and don't want to be eating gluten just incase it is the cause of my abdominal bloating???

Kerinroberts,
The UK Coeliac Society advise that normal amounts of gluten should be eaten for up to six weeks prior to testing otherwise you may get a false negative. Why don't you wait until after your prom to do the gluten challenge if you are concerned about bloating?
If I still do the test, will it 100% be negative if I haven't consumed gluten every single day for 6 weeks?
Not what you're looking for?
