Hi everyone, i am Jenny and had a tt about 10years ago. I take ndt but struggle with bloating and constipation. I am thinking about adding some straight t3 to if that helps. Any advice welcome.

Hiya Jenny
In my personal experience, in all the years I've been hypo etc, I've never had bloating caused by thyroid issues. Constipation maybe but not bloating. Bloating in myself and daughter has always been caused by gluten so I would check any food intolerances out.
Many people who have thyroid issues, find going 100% gluten free improves many of their symptoms - it improved all of mine. If gluten free does not appear to be the cause and you see no improvements after a few months, you could always try an elimination diet for a couple of months to see if anything else is the cause.
Do you drink enough water - this can cause constipation
Try adding benefiber to your diet it's very good! It's a powder with know taste so you can add it on foods or drink 👍
Also, if you post your latest thyroid results, people here can advise if optimally medicated. You may also want to get your Vit D, Folate, Iron and B12 levels checked if you haven't already as many people with thyroid issues can be deficient in these
Whilst under medicated I had terrible digestive issues and went grain free which helped enormously. Now I am optimally medicated (levo) and better vit levels, I have found my digestion much improved and can tolerate grains much better - I should stress I am not Hashi though.
Given that medication largely speaking is absorbed through the gut I would make sorting these problems out your priority. I recommend an eleimination diet to find out what suits you and try to stop the bloating. There are many many websites discussing the way to improve your gut bacteria so please do your research and make sure that your diet includes plenty of pre- and probiotics.
