Skipper2304,

For maximum absorption Levothyroxine should be taken with water 1 hour before, or 2 hours after, food and drink, 2 hours away from other medication and supplements, and 4 hours away from calcium, iron, vitamin D supplements, magnesium and oestrogen.

Skipper2304,

As far as I'm aware HRT can be taken any time of day or night. You should check whether your vitamins are to be taken with food or not. VitD should be taken with the fattiest meal of the day.

Helpful thank you for your time 😊

I found they negate each other, as does vitamin D. I take my THs first thing, D3 at lunchtime or early afternoon, & HRT in the evening. I try to keep them about 6 hours apart.

That's what I am going to do! Started today.

Thank you leverette

My HRT is a gel that I put on skin. I take NDT first thing and then apply the gel an hour or so later. Is that ok as the Oestrogen isn't being digested?
