I'm just curious of other people's experiences. Mine went up 6 points when I had an increase of 25mcg. But at the same time they gave me Teva. On other makes I didn't have such a large increase in ft4 levels. I wonder if it was the Teva...

How much did your ft4 level increase on a 25 mcg increase in levo?
Did you leave 24 hours between taking the dose and your blood test?
Yes, I did. To me it seems like Teva is to blame...
But it would be useful to get other people's experience on ft4 levels.
Loads of people have had bad reaction to Teva. If it doesn't agree with you take it back to Pharmacist & ask for your usual brand.
You can also put in a yellow card to report poor reaction
If GP or Pharmacist kick up a fuss here is research that shows we should not switch brands - they are not the same

Thanks, gave done that. Stopped Teva and changed back to other brand in January.
Now my levels are low again, but doctor also reduced dose accordingly to high numbers of ft4 and low tsh. Now I'm back on 100mcg and just had blood tests done. I'm not feeling well at all.
In January I changed from liquid Levothyroxine (Mercury Pharma) to Teva tablets - the same daily dose of 75mcg. After four months on Teva my TSH fell to the very bottom of the range, lowest in my entire history of blood tests over the last few years. FT4 went up about 5 points being now considerably over the range. FT3 moved up 0.5 point only. I also lost some weight and was worried what was going on until I saw my blood test results. I am in the process of decreasing the daily dose to 70mgc first and then I will see if I have to decrease it more.
It appears that Teva contains more thyroxine than Mercury Pharma. As far as my experience goes, it has got less unpleasant side effects than Mercury Pharma; possibly because it is lactose free.
I was on Mercury for years and I felt ok but still not good, I moved area I lived in and they changed me to Activa , then same pharmacist changed it to a TEVO new formula last sept and I fell to bits, I look back and after my move I felt worse than ever had , but didn't connect it to the Levo brand change, the TEVO was sept last year and I've started having severe problems and was only when I looked up TEVO I realised that all this brand changing is really not good for you , I became more under with Activa the 1st swap and TEVO didn't realise what it was so I made list of my problems and dr put me on HRT not even a thyroid blood test. My life for 3 years has not been worth living , I've yellow flagged TEVO after realising it must of been that that's causing all my aches and pains, carpel syndrome, hair loss , weight gain, low body tempratire, tiredness loads more things and loads of things have gone wrong since I moved here ,sciatica, loss of leg for months, imy shoulder is in severe pain I had to have steroid injection ,migraines severe, just have no energy I just stay in bed for days it's been a nightmare freezing cold , waiting to see Endo soon, can not find the Mercury one but have switched to boots pharmacy as my pharmacist gets the cheapest she can it seems, and swaps brands often, she does it to most of my drugs and lots I e taken back as they are useless but I didn't even really think Levo could be different , I'm now back on Activa but not happy with it,as hair dropping out again I'm just so fed up with it all I will ask boots if they can get me Mercury, it seems if you start on one brand you should never switch. I feel like my life has been taken awY from me and my body inside feels 90 yrs old, drs kept saying is my age, im only 53 and all my other friends do not feel like this, they go out they don't have days in bed they live a healthy life ,im now also on HRT and that doesn't help it gives me water retention , but not as bad as 1st one They put me on. I just feel like these company's are now playing with my health as no way are they the same as Drs and my old pharmacist say, they are, the pharmacist said no one else has mentioned it,? I said to her they are probably like me and never even suspected the way I was feeling wS it was the Levoroxine, , she's an ignorant person at the best of times.. I have printed off a copy of article about if you change Levo to vie to pharmacist and the dr next time I go, which won't be long the way I'm feeling... I never got offered a blood test with any of the brand changes and that's playing with my life... totally fed up of feeling ill all the time
