Like many of us I have been hypothyroidism for many years I also have type 1 diabetes, fibromyalgia, oesteoporosi in spine. Now I'm getting confusion in the last year and cold temperature .

My last t3 test result is the same as the previous one at 3.8. T4 is 20. Now I feel so rotten but still can't have t3.

PLEASE, HOW DO I GET SOME T3

Hi Linda. You will need to post your blood tests results in full - including lab ranges, before anyone here can advise. :-)

Hi Linda. Your free T3 is under range. T3 is the active hormone that our bodies crave. You will know this, of course. Your TSH is low normal, but I don't understand your free T4 results as posted. I'm no expert, but it looks as if you are not converting particularly well. I hope that someone more knowledgable than I will comment.

Then, Linda, you may have to bite the bullet and get some test done privately. This one is £59 and is from a lab that many of us use.

Have you had B12 - Folate - Ferritin -VitD - tested ? If low in range then it could inhibit conversion of T4 to T3 and be the cause of some of your symptoms.

Thanks Mark, they are more at the bottom end of range. I've just had new test so we will see if they've gone any further down.

I've recently been to Salford royal hospital to see an endo Dr. I've had loads of blood taken. Can't wait to get the results as I feel I'm nearly losing the plot.

Trouble is that even though he is going to write to appropriate authorities in my area he doubts weather they will fund buying t bloody 3 for me.

He suggested armour....
