Taking levothyroxine the day of 24 hour cortisol saliva test

Hi All,

I've received my 24 hour cortisol saliva test and just wanted to check wether I should take my levothyroxine as usual that morning?

Could it effect the results?

Also I have just raised my meds from 25-50 in the last week.

Any advice greatly appreciated. The test was quite expensive so I want to get the most accurate result.

Yes, you should take your levothyroxine on the day of the test.

I very much doubt that either list is complete.

I have done adrenal saliva testing before. I also take 5-HTP as an anti-depressant. I chose not to come off 5-HTP for two weeks, and just accepted that my cortisol results would be a little higher than they would be without the 5-HTP.
