Welcome to the forum, Staceytwedd.

It is high TSH which can make conception difficult. It is recommended the TSH of women planning conception should be in the low-normal range 0.4 - 2.5. Levothyroxine dose is usually increased by 25-50mcg when pregnancy is confirmed to ensure good foetal development.

Hi Stacey,

Me and my partner were actively trying for 11 months to conceive with my second son, he is 7 and has autism, which i have now found that it could be linked to thyroid problems! wouldnt change him for the world though..

where as before i was on levo and before i was diagnosed i became pregnant within a couple of months with my first son!

so yes your thyroid condition will have an impact on conceiving and needs to be optimally dosed to perform properly x
