Bossbird,

Your GP should order parathyroid hormone (PTH) and calcium at the same time. The blood should be drawn at the phlebotomy dept in your local hospital because it is a time sensitive test. If both PTH and calcium are high it indicates primary hyperparathyroidism which is usually caused by a benign parathyroid adenoma.

Thanks I'm med resistant so on high t3 dose, yes having loads of tests next week but heard that t3 can cause calcium in blood so endo wants me to half my dose of t3

Hi 2.51 to 2.65

The top of the range is usually 2.6 so your result isn't too far out at 2.65, be interesting to see if your lower dose of T3 brings it down. If you want to post your next lot of results on the hyperparathyroid forum members can advise.
