Just when I thought low carb diet was the answer to diabetes the site I looked at said it is bad for thyroid.Cannot win. Back to GG's approach ,a little of what you fancy.

And Dr .Kendrick's remedy of red wine ,although too much in my case.

Treepie, I tried a low carb diet and felt very bad on it. I seemed to be getting hypoglycemic, with dizziness and nausea between meals.I ran into someone on a thread about diet recently who said she'd had similar to me.

So if you don't get any negative symptoms and do feel well on it, maybe you're not badly affected.

Dunno but I had to stop when a pint was giving me a hangover for days!

I have found that without a thyroid and taking NDT, my enjoyment of any alcoholic drink has completely disappeared. Also, if I do divulge of any, that it has no effect on how I feel at that time, but feel rotten the following day, all day.
