Hello, this is my first post. I have been suspected of having an under active thyroid (no diagnostic though). My TSH is 1.364mU/L and my Free T4 is 8.2 pmol/L. I have been taking Levothyroxine (100mg) for about 6 months now, I have put a lot of weight on and although my symptoms have improved I can't be sure if its the tablets as unfortunately I also have B12 deficiency and 6 months ago I started taking supplements.
I am unsure where to go from here, can anyone advice me?
Thanks

Your Levothyroxine dose needs increasing until FT4 is at least 13, preferably higher. This will almost certainly suppress your TSH which may pain your GP but some people need very low and suppressed TSH in order to deliver reasonable FT4.
