Got more info re Test results: Ranges in brackets:

FT4 12.6 (Range 9.0 to 24)

FT3 4.1 (Range 3.5 to 6.5)

TSH 2.15 (Range 0.3 to 6.0)

Have had about 2 hours sleep (fell asleep sitting up ~ very Ouch!), so will try to get some sleep now. Will be back on later.

Have a double appt with Doc on Wednesday 26th April @ 9 a.m. That should give her time to read everything I've written and sent to her, which should be delivered today!

I don't think she's going to be a happy bunny, particularly with all the 'symptoms' of Hypothyroidism that I have, with 'clear' results ... but then neither am I, at present.

Have asked for a full paper print out of all the Blood Work done recently, and if the Doc approves of me seeing it (!), then my friendly receptionist, Susan, will print it out and I'll get it collected, and post it here.

10 vials of blood will hopefully show something relevant in the Tests ~ I've no idea of all that was requested to be screened, but can guess that my 'familial Cholesterol' will once again be sky high!

TSH >2.0 indicates your thyroid is beginning to struggle to produce hormone and FT4 and FT3 are low in range. NHS won't usually diagnose hypothyroidism until TSH is over range ie >6.0 or FT4 is below range <9.0.

Depending what your symptoms are it may be worth asking your GP to check ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate. Low levels/deficiency can cause musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, breathlessness, hairloss and low mood which are often mistakenly thought to be hypothyroid symptoms.
