Discordant Thyroid

My GP has referred me to an Endocrinologist and I have been twice. The latest letter to my GP is that I have a discordant thyroid, stating that the repeated bloods are the same with the T4 levels low along with suppressed TSH. They are going to repeat bloods to rule out assay interference. Please can someone explain this to me?

You may have central hypothyroidism, which means your pituitary may not be behaving. This will suppress everything that should happen downstream.

Never heard 'discordant thyroid' in this context.
