Is armour ok now ? What do you all take and find hopefull? I know we are all different but it would help me to hear of personal hopefull useses of different brands.xxx

Did you, after taking your initial dose, increase by a very small amount every one or two weeks?

Okay. This is my personal story and it must be acknowledged that everyone is different and responds differently to medication. I was on Levo for nigh-on a year. My numbers were not good. After huge amounts of research I decided to try Thyro-Gold, which was formulated by the late, great, Doctor John Lowe. If you are interested, you can find it at NaturalThyroidSolutions. Dr Lowe's wife, Tammy, continues his work in running the commercial arm. My latest results after 3 months on Thro-Gold were stunning. But, as it comes from America, it can get snaffled by Customs and you are almost certain to have to pay duty. My latest order of 150mg caps. cost around £95 which is 6 month's worth for me. It is potent and one does need to raise doseage slowly. I haven't received my latest order yet - fingers crossed! I am aware that that it is possible that I may at some point not be so lucky with my findings, but at present, things appear to be good. (I have to say, I am not medically qualified and I have no connection whatsoever with the folks at Thyro-Gold except as a customer.)

Dr John Lowe was an Adviser to Thyroiduk.org.uk too. He deliberately invented Thyro-gold as it doesn't need a prescription. I am glad you are doing well and it certainly makes such a difference when your symptoms are relieved and you feel back to normal no matter who the producers of the product are.

I think doctors should be able to prescribe NDT on a named-patient basis without threat of prosecution or T3 - not the licenced one - and these have been in use for years.

It might be worth mentioning that Thro-Gold is bovine in origin, not porcine.

Yes, that's an important point.

I wonder could you tell me is there an advantage to bovine over porcine ?

Hi i found a post you wrote two years ago and thought i would look on earlier posts to see how you are doing i see you are still struggling please can i offer advice .I truly believe you have low aldosterone due to adrenal fatigue and if you read about it you will see tests you can do at home for adrenal fatigue like eye pupil test and blood pressure test .The ultimate cure for adrenals ( which is stress related ) is sea salt it is a miracle cure for me , sea salt is not bad for you like sodium ( table salt ) sea salt heals adrenals please read .Try 1/2 spoon twice a day in glass of water you will feel energy from the minerals almost immediately

You were under stress before with illness then stressed losing your partner and stress accumilates , the adrenals are your stress hormones that get low ..I was the same ... Then you need to listen every day to louise hay on youtube , if you are lying in bed just keep listening to her affirmations daily till you take it in , make her your daily strength PLEASE do the sea salt and louise hay i promise you it will help x

I don't know, June. If Thyro-Gold had been porcine, I would probably have gone for that, too. I just went with it because of Dr Lowe.

I would agree that it's either low iron/ferritin and/or adrenal fatigue that's stopping the NDT from working. I am in the same boat but I am not giving up on the NDT, I am working to fix the potential issue(s) :)
