Most of us only feel well with a TSH of 1 or below 1, but doctors seem to worry if it's that low. We just know we feel better.

Well in some countries it would be classed as thyroidism. For some reason here, many doctors wait till your level is over 10, which is ridiculous! Many of us on here are underactive and it is often because our bodies immune system is actively attacking our thyroid gland. This is known as Hashimotos Thyroiditis. The TSH is the thyroid stimulating hormone and is produced by the pituitary gland. When the levels increase it is because the body is struggling to make the thyroid gland work.

What are your symptoms? If you are feeling tired, sluggish, then it is probably hypothyroidism. If you feel wired and anxious and are losing weight then it can be Hyperthyroidism. These are generalities as they don't apply in every case.

What is your doctor saying? Have they tested you for antibodies?

Might be a good idea to get your B12,ferritin & folate tested. Tingling hands and muscle twitches can be symptoms of that being low. It often seems to accompany thyroid problems too.
