Cycle 2 miles for blood test?

Does anybody know if or makes a difference if you cycle 2 miles to have your thyroid blood test?

Would it be better to take the car?

I am not sure but I think to cycle 2 miles may reduce your T3 level. This is a link:

I don't have access to a car right now so I would need to cycle. But they aren't testing ft3 anyway so if it doesn't affect tsh then I think I'll go by bike.

Do you regularly cycle? If so then your results will reflect your regular levels either way

Yes, I do. But not so much since I was diagnosed since I don't have the energy any more.

I was thinking bless you, you're doing something right if you can cycle to your appt!

I once had issues w parking when I went to see the endo and he suggested I cycle instead. Was a bit gobsmacked as I was there because my levo wasn't working and I was exhausted. The journey would've been around 15 miles so, no, I don't think so.

If it helps I read about this recently and it seems like athletes working at their top capacity show some small reduction in tsh or t3, but it didn't seem to be flagged up as a real issue for 'average' folk, ie non-athletes. Maybe if you were in need of a diagnosis this could possibly swing it one way or the other but if you're thinking of a leisurely 2 mile cycle ride for a routine blood draw I wouldn't worry.
