Hasimotos affect the absorbtion of vitamins. I just read that one can buy a vitamin B12 spray that one sprays under the tongue (sublingual) and it almost immediately helps your memory!

Memory Problems?
Maryh1,
The claim is exaggerated. If you have low B12 a sublingual spray or lozenge will improve your levels and may improve memory but it will not be immediate and realistically will take several weeks.
You may be right, as I just ordered it. But people on the Amazon site who were describing it said it worked immediately. I use to take pregnenolone 200 mgs and it would work within 15 minutes. It was simply amazing.
Somewhere along the line I switched brands and it was no longer effective. I can't remember what brand I used originally.
I use a B12 spray because it is SO easy to take, and easy to remember to take daily. I wish all vitamins were in spray form... So many vitamin tablets daily...
I would agree with Clutter that amazon, iherb etc customer feedback is usually exaggerated... But you try, and hopefully it works well for you.
I have just found a transdermal patch online I'm going to order
I take the lozenge pills that you put under the tongue that melt and are the methcobalwin form easier to absorb..i know I spelled that wrong but I also take b complex in capsules at the same time since b vitamins work best together... .I take 1000-5000 depending on my levels and boy it increases my b12 quickly when I take 5000 so I have to back down to 1-3000 a day....
Hi Maryh1, have you had any improvement? Interested to hear as I have awful memory problems!
Hi CB,
I haven't noticed memory Problems of late. I think that the thyroid medication I'm taking is helping in that department. Yesterday I found an item that I'd been looking for for months. It was in plain sight on a shelf in my garage. So I think maybe the fog is lifting. I'm taking NatureThroid 2 grains and Liothyronine 5 mcg 4 times a day. I will increase this dose gradually until my afternoon temp gets to 98.6.
Good luck,
Mary
