I recently received a pm asking me where I might source LDN from, from a stranger (to me) on this site. I gave the person public web addresses in good faith, that simply give information and directed him or her to the prescribing doctor. I did check their posts and saw they were relatively new to the site.
In future, I will be even more cautious about who I give what out to. I wonder if we could use our collective nous to come up with a way to be a little more assured as to who we can feel comfortable giving information to, since most of my fantastic suppliers came through information from lovely and generous people on HU TUK?
Any ideas, because I've none!

No need for clever schemes, if something about the post or member feels off to you there's no obligation to share sources. If you'd like more information about the member or his/her thyroid condition before sharing it's legitimate to ask for some background.
It irritates me that some people join the forum only to source where to obtain meds without prescription so I don't feel bad about not responding to such requests.
Thanks for your reply, radd. I rather agree with you. Oddly enough, someone asked me for the name of a supplier some time ago and I was a bit uneasy about giving out the information.
I checked her posts out and also explained about how I felt, and she gave me lots of info about her journey. In fact she was a bit shirty with me, rather short in her responses, but my feeling was that it was ok to give out the information.
Not so the last person, though, and I gave sufficient information for her to do the leg work herself.
It's a shame that there are real #@*!s about, who seek to disrupt the quests of genuinely desperate people for their own ends, but I guess always has it been thus.
Hi I am new on here although sadly not new doctors lowering thyroid meds the minute I feel a bit better ie running higher than there stupid blood chart says. Just happened again and I am very low in both energy and spirits as a result. I have had 40 + years of all this not to mention battles with docs to get desperatly needed surgery twice. Have been told it was all in my head when I was dying from septic abdomen. I could go on. Was sad to read that I am not alone Shenks read your story with nodding head. I too spent years lying down and getting fatter and fatter. I still mostly lie down and am tryingand mostly failing to lose weight. Well done to you. Anyway I thought I would introduce self on this post as I have been wondering about the real thyroid meds. I am assuming it can't be prescribed and I will need to know where to get it. Am not sure if or when I would try it/afford it and am not asking at this point for the info needed. Having read the posts I thought it best for you to get to Know me first. Am 65 now and weary of trying to get well despite doctors. All advice gladly recieved. Maggi
