Different for everyone, I felt quite tired but nothing else, I had a blood test about 4 weeks later and that showed I was very hypo, started Levo and that was that really. I only had half a thyroid from previous surgery so obviously the remaining half took the whole hit and died off quickly.

RAI doesn't work for everyone so some will go hyper again and need another shot at it and levels can be unstable post RAI so some Endos wait before treating to see if things settle down. You may find you are euthyroid afterwards and won't need any meds immediately.

Hope it goes well.

Taking Carb afterwards is not unusual, should help if your thyroid goes into overdrive for a short while. Hopefully things will go to plan and you can get on with life, hyper free 😊

It turned out to be rather a non event for me. I just had to be sure Imkept the rules about who to avoid! The tiredness soon went away and I did not have any Carbimazole but started Levo after a blood test following GP visit.
