Hi Sabia,

Sabia,

TSH of pregnant women during the first trimester should be between 0.4 - 2.5. Levothyroxine dose is usually increased by 25-50mcg when pregnancy is confirmed. I would increase dose to 125mcg as soon as possible because high TSH increases the risk of miscarriage. Contact your GP as soon as possible to get your Levothyroxine dose increased. NICE recommends pregnant hypothyroid women are referred to endocrinology.

Does it have affected my developing feotus

Sabia,

It is unlikely to cause developmental problems if you raise your dose NOW. The foetus is dependent on your thyroid hormone and will have been grabbing as much as it can which is why your thyroid hormone is becoming low and your TSH has risen.
