Just about a week now saw this lump on my neck though not painful but am scared. gone for blood text and xray this morning result in two days but am scared. can anyone help to allay my fears?

Try not to be afraid. The worst senario is that you may have a problem so isn't it better to get it sorted if you have? And no point in worrying if it's found to be unfounded. I recently had symptoms that could have been cancer and then realised I was worrying about worrying! So went to doctor who didn't think I had a Brocken but suggested she referred me to the experts. They thought I was ok but suggested testing and it was positive butvi had caught it early and didn't have to have chemo after the op. Now certainly not wanting to worry you but now from experience it's better to have anything looked at and sorted for peace of mind.
Nodules on the thyroid are extremely common, but thyroid cancer is quite rare. You've got a very small chance it will be something serious.
I had thyroid cancer myself, and something that really influenced my approach to it was a good friend who had had a nodule years before. She became so stressed and fearful for the months it was being investigated. As her friend supporting her it really seemed like she did have cancer or something else serious, she became like a shadow. It made me resolve never to let that happen to me as I went through my treatment.
So I think it's really important not to worry yourself away to nothing. You create a terrible illness for yourself if you do that
