Do you have the results, with ranges? If so, post them here, then people will be better able to advise you.
I think it highly unlikely that you need to lower your dose to 50, that's a starter dose, and is far to low for most people. But, if your endo is dosing by TSH alone, then you need a new endo! That is totally wrong, and the best way to keep you sick.
Well, your FT3 was slightly over-range. But reducing by 50 mcg is just rediculous. You should only reduce by 25 at a time. What time of day did you have this test done? Was it fasting? Did you leave 24 hours between your last dose and the test?
Usual advice on ALL thyroid tests, is to do early in morning, ideally before 9am. No food or drink beforehand (other than water)
As you are taking Levo, then don't take it in 24 hours before (take straight after).
This way your tests are always consistent, and it will show highest TSH, and as this is mainly all the medics decide dose on, best idea is to keep result as high as possible
Suggest that you say you will consider his suggestion if the next blood test in 6-8 weeks time shows similar result.
Would be good idea to check levels of vitamin d, b12, folate and ferratin. These all need to at good (not just average) levels for thyroid hormones (our own or replacement ones) to work in our cells.
