I have a friend who has been on levo for years but has now developed peripheral neuropathy. What does anyone take for this? Is it one of the B vitamins?

Peripheral Neuropathy
topaz1 As peripheral neuropathy is to do with nerves in the extremities, testing B12 and folate would be a good first step. I wouldn't supplement without testing first, purely because if they are deficient it would require further investigation.
As well as Folate and B12, low vitamin B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy. I don't know how easy (or expensive) B6 is to get tested - I've never had it done myself.
B12 is not dangerous in overdose, and nor is folate to the best of my knowledge. However, Vitamin B6 in excess can cause problems.
