Bruising

Just wondered if anyone has had any unexplained bruising as a symptom of their Hashimoto's? I woke up the other morning with a pain in my arm and it turned out to be a huge bruise. I'm sure I would have remembered doing it if I'd walked into something as it was quite sore. Thanks in advance.

Polly2501,

Easy bruising is a symptom of Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism.

I got this when I was very poorly with my hypothyroidism. They appeared from nowhere at all and took ages to go. Can also be down to iron deficiency which we can be prone to also x

You can suffer from acquired von Willebrand disease when hypothyroid:

Thank you for your responses, I really appreciate it. The GP sent me for blood tests so hoping to get the results back shortly. Thanks again.
