You should have her tested, she isn't too young. Have her antibodies measured too, it could be hashimotoes which seems to run in families. Do you have high antibody levels yourself?

Thanks for replying yes I got tested for antibodies and it was really high 584 will defiantly get her checked out thank you

My son is 12 and was tested last year. He had severe anxiety and panic attacks, weight gain, felt cold and looked very pale. Bloods were run, and they included the basic TSH and FT4. I hope they will repeat them this year and add the antibodies as his last result did show a raised TSH and low T4.

I hope your daughter is ok, anxiety is a horrible thing, I suffer with it terribly since being hypothyroid.

My daughter is 9 too and recently started with very bad separation anxiety and rage, hysterical at times she had never been like that even as a young child. Nothing on the family or daily life had changed and all Ok at school. She was also complaining about Tummy ache which I thought was anxiety related. I took her to my naturopath to see if she could help. She said she was gluten and lactose intolerant (I'm gluten intolerant) and was concerned if she continued on the gluten it would give her a thyroid issue like mine. I have hashis like you and many sources recommend going gluten free to help . Gluten doesn't always cause gut issues, fatigue, headaches, aches and pains can all be gluten related as well as thyroid related (and low adrenals related too)

Going gf is hard, but you should notice a difference in a week or so, and it may also help with with weight if that if of concern. My daughter is a changed girl since cutting it out, no more rage or hysterical anxiety and she notices the tummy ache if she sneaks a biscuit from her friends
