I have asked a couple of questions already and thanks for the answers . I have a query about my test results the doctor said one was 5.5 and the other was 11 but that was all the info she gave me . she did say that it was a little strange something to do with the pitutary . I wondered if anyone had a clue what she meant thanks alicea

This obviously requires me to make assumptions.
I'd guess that 5.5 is your TSH (which is a pituitary hormone). The reference range does vary - but the top of the range is usually lower than 5.5 these days. The higher your TSH the more likely you are to be hypothyroid.
And your 11 is likely to be your free T4 test. T4 is the main thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid. The reference range for this is also variable but 11 is definitely around the bottom fo the range. The lower your fT4 the more liekly you are to be hypothyroid.
Have a look here for a bit more information:

In my opinion, these numbers are strongly indicative of you being hypothyroid. And if these are after being on a trial of 25mcg for a while, you clearly need more thyroxine.
Please, please, please ask at your surgery for the actual numbers and reference ranges. They might well be able to print them off for you.
All the best
